There is technically only one large short term vacation home community in Orlando. These are condos in the beautiful Isles at Cay Commons/Vista Cay Resort in south central Orlando. There are other much smaller communities in Orlando including the Bay Hill golf villas adjacent to Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill private member golf course and clubhouse.
The geographic area adjacent to the Isles of Cay Commons and Vista Cay Resort includes the Orange County Convention Center and the Rosen School of Hospitality at the University of Central Florida. Leisure activities and attractions within 10 minutes of Vista Cay also include the Universal Orlando Resort® and SeaWorld® Orlando. Universal is now most famous for its Harry Potter attraction within the theme park’s resort property.
The Orlando International Airport (MCO) is also less than 30 minutes driving (depending upon traffic) from these popular resorts in south central Orlando. The airport’s southern flank offers direct access from the east via State Route 417 “Central Florida Greeneway” to many resort communities in Kissimmee and Davenport.
Central Florida’s most popular destination, the Walt Disney World® theme park is southwest of the Greater Orlando area in Lake Buena Vista. Further to the east, Orlando is bordered by Kissimmee and Osceola County which is a popular destination for vacation rental guests. Osceola County is quite diverse in terms of shopping and dining and the many rental home choices the area offers.
