Some of the new attractions at Disney World in 2014 (listed by park) include:
New Rides Changes in 2014
The new “Seven Dwarfs Mine Train” is slated to open in the Spring of 2014. This new family themed ride is inspired by the Walt Disney classic – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The ride will also feature appropriately themed music that help guide your whimsical adventure in the diamond mine and through the countryside. This will be the park’s most heralded new attractions at Disney World in 2014.
The new day time “Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade” will also begin in the Spring of 2014 at the Magic Kingdom. This new parade will feature the Disney animation tales of great clasics such as Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo and others. There will be floats that will feature Disney characters and scens from various films. Other parade participants will include Disney Princesses that will adorn the streets of Main Street USA.
One of the new changes at the Magic Kingdom Disney has been quiet about is the renovation of Splash Mountain. The ride is scheduled to be closed the second week of January through mid-March 2014. No word yet on some of the specific changes for Splash Mountain.
New Attractions at Disney World in 2014
The biggest change for Disneyworld’s Animal Kingdom will be the movement of “Festival of the Lion King” to a new theater. This new attraction at Disney World in 2014 will be placed in the Africa section of the park. The new theater will continue to feature amazing costumes, live entertainers and singers on moving stages. Based on the latest Disney updates, Festival of the Lion King will be closed until mid-year 2014 to make time for the transition to the new location.
Epcot – Added New Spice for 2014
The Moroccan pavilion will feature new flavors from the opening of the “Spice Road Table” on January 17th. According to initial reports, the Spice Road Table extols the flavors of the outdoor bistros of this North African destination. More appealing will be the opportunity to dine along the waterfront and lagoon adjacent and behind the Morocco showcase.
