Christmas in Orlando 2009

If you are looking at going to Orlando for Christmas, there is a lot to do. We highlight just a few of the highlights.

The theme parks typically go all out for Christmas, so if you don’t mind spending Christmas in the warm sun, Orlando can be the place to go.

Universal Orlando ® holds the annual “Grinchmas”, while the Universal resort hotels go all out with carolers and elaborate decorations.

Walt Disney Word Resort ® has Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ® every year with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade ® including the march of the wooden soldiers.

At Epcot ®, you can visit the “Holidays around the World” exhibits and learn about Christmas traditions around the world as well as enjoy the Candlelight Processional.

MGM ® has the famous Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. No, this is not the Ozzy Osbourne family, this is a family whose Christmas decorations at their Arkansas home became so big they were invited by the park to showcase their lights – all 5 million magnificent ghts.

Be sure to visit some of the Disney resort hotels, as they are reknown for their Christmas decorations.

Gaylord Palms ICE ®. This is a fun exhibit put on by the Gaylord Palms ® hotel every year. It is a huge indoor ice exhibit with some of the best ice sculpture in the world on display. There is also an indoor ice slide which is always fun.
