The Guy Fawkes event begins on Saturday night at 5:30 with music, food and rides. The event will be held at Formosa Gardens Boulevard and W. Irlo Bronson Highway in Kissimmee. The event does have a small entry charge payable at the door.
Additional events following the opening include a Guy Fawkes costume judging contest, a Bonfire lighting and fireworks at 9:00 pm.

Guy Fawkes was purportedly the keeper of the explosives that were to deliver the jolt to harm the King. Mr. Fawkes was caught and then tortured for his knowledge of the plot to murder King James I. The bonfires and Guy Fawkes straw character are the icons of this special British celebration to symbolize this moment in British history.
