Give Dad the gift of unforgettable memories for your family’s 2014 Father’s Day in Orlando. Whether it’s golf, cigars, sushi and/or steaks, Dad will love to be in Central Florida for a great weekend of manly fun.

Father’s Day Orlando 2014

Your first best choice is to select a vacation rental in Orlando for the Father’s Day week or weekend. Vacation home rentals come in all sizes and offer all the conveniences of home. Larger vacation villas allow everyone to stay under one roof and come with a variety of home amenities to keep everyone happy and entertained.

Speaking of entertainment, Central Florida is known for the plethora of fun things to do. Let’s start with some of the top options that will help Dad have a perfect Father’s Day weekend..

  • Golf – There several public courses to enjoy for a fun Father’s Day Orlando 2014 golf outing. In the premium category, we personally like Falcon’s Fire, Orange County National and Reunion Resort. Depending upon the time of day, these courses can be moderately expensive. If you are staying in a Kissimmee vacation rental, the convenience of Mystic Dunes might be very appealing to you and your group.  Moreover, if golf is your primary activity, booking in Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms or Emerald Island should put you in the vicinity of several courses including Mystic Dunes.

  • Steakhouses – Just like golf, there are plenty of steakhouses to choose from. In the premium category, there are both local and national concepts including Morton’s, Ruth’s  Chris, Texas de Brazil, Capitol Grille, Delmonico’s and Shula’s.  If you are looking to dine closer to your Kissimmee or Davenport vacation home, Highway 192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial) has some good options.  These include Outback Steakhouse, Longhorn Steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse and Logan’s. One of our top regional steakhouse restaurants is Charley’s which we always enjoy.
  • Sushi – Looking for something a little healthier, sushi may be a good choice? In Kissimmee, Kobe’s is popular and your family can choose to either enjoy the hibachi tableside grille or a juicy steak as well. Other good choices in Kissimmee include Take Japanese, Sushi by Chef Ha and Mizu. Sushi restaurants in Orlando are on almost every corner and in every small strip mall.
  • Cigars – Our personal favorite is located on West Sand Lake in Orlando. It is called Corona’s Cigar Store and Bar. Great atmosphere and huge selection of cigars to choose from. If you are in the Sand Lake area, in addition to Corona’s there is a place called Stogies at the Dellagio. Closer to Kissimmee, Sosa’s in Lake Buena Vista is a nice quiet place for a stogie.

Our final laundry list includes watching World Cup soccer in one of the area sports bars. For the outdoorsy dads, there is always ziplining and enjoying a day at the Florida State Parks. Or even a day at the Chocolate Kingdom interactive family factory tour in Kissimmee.

Father’s Day in Orlando will be even better when you stay in an area vacation home rental. There are plenty of short term rental condos to choose from with pools and adult clubhouse activities.
