Vacation Rentals Near Disney

We have received many inquiries related to the relationship between distance to the Walt Disney World Resort ® and nightly rates for Disney area vacation rentals. After carefully looking at rental rates on several websites, there are too many other factors that come into play for explicitly determining a hypothetical market rate for the consumer. These pricing factors include size of home, reputation of vacation home community, amenities and location. The plethora of choices and options are some of the many reasons why vacation homes are so superior to hotels.

On our site, we profile many Disney area vacation home communities, including the ability to assess what factors are most important to you. We are currently updating our site to better allow you to sort through the comprehensive information we have available. We also include video of most vacation homes and resort communities near Disney on the site. This will put you in a better position to lower the risk related to booking a vacation home that meets your personal needs and expectations.

As we have stated before, it pays to shop around when renting vacation condos, townhomes and traditional vacation homes alike in the Orlando area.

Unlike hotels which have designation programs designed to evaluate quality levels (Mobil, AAA), individual vacation homes are very difficult to evaluate. Some websites do attempt to post consumer reviews, but that information is often limited and dated, but can be helpful after being paired with our vacation home community rating reviews and opinions. We have now posted over 40+ community profiles, and add more on a weekly basis which include most vacation rentals near Disney.

Disney sales reps have been building buzz locally about their upcoming opening of the “American Idol” Experience™ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Judges will determine among up to 400 audition contestants daily who will make the final cut of 21 VIP star performers. Prospective auditioners may sign-up online(www.disneyworld.com/idol) or show-up locally.

There will purportedly be 7 shows of 3 performers who will sing in front of a live Orlando Disney audience. The daily individual audiences will select a winning performer from each of the seven shows who will then perform at the end of the day to determine the daily winner. Each daily winner will then have a serious opportunity to make the real American Idol® show.

Whether you wish to be audition, judge or simply coach an aspiring star, Orlando vacation home accommodations are a great way to visit the area. Because vacation homes make every family feel so relaxed with a plethora of options and amenities, your current or future star will be that much more idolized when they get up on stage. You’ll also be happy that you can make a “stress free” home choice by consulting our “vacation home reviews”.

These reviews are designed as a consumer guide to make your decision easier and more informed. Most vacation homes near Disney are a short drive to the parks.

SNAD: Significantly Not As Described.

Yes, there is a term for it! You rent an Orlando vacation home or condo that looks great in the photos, but when you get there, the subdivision is less than desired and the house is dirty and has stained carpets.

This is a major problem. The community reviews contained on this blog should give you a leg up on making sure your vacation home meets your expectations including our video reviews of most vacation rental communities.

Your Orlando vacation home management company should be able to provide you with a detailed standardized score of your specific vacation home or condo before you book it. Further, they should warranty the cleanliness of the Orlando vacation home and that the property was inspected the morning of your check-in. You can then pair up this home specific information to the vacation home community reviews we post regularly.

Without this information this can be a difficult process, as some vacation home companies have a vested interest in you booking the homes they manage over someone else’s. As we describe on another blog, absentee homeowners who do not employ a management company may not be in town to inspect the property before it’s occupied by the next guest.

In Orlando, some of the vacation home communities are less than desirable, and some of the homes are just plain poor. If you know where to look, some of the Orlando vacation home community subdivisions are amazing and the homes are wonderful. Please consult our vacation home reviews contained on this site as a reference when booking your Orlando vacation.

Some sites try to provide you information on the homes, but they have vested interests by the owners and managers, as described above. This vacation home blog will continue to provide you with information that will help you make the right choice for your Orlando villa.

Booking with a well managed and professional vacation home management company is key. Ask them what type of quality assurance practices they have in place to assure your vacation home rental is the pinnacle of quality. A well managed vacation home management company will not hesitate to tell you.

The best way to learn is to ask questions. Got a question on a vacation home or a community subdivision? Email us. We respond for free.
