In addition to Disney World, Universal and Sea World, there are some regional attractions in the Four Corners area of Florida that are very entertaining and educational.
The Four Corners area, as it is known locally, is synonymous with what we often refer to as the “vacation home corridor” and is home to many of these regional attractions. This area physically includes Osceola County (Kissimmee), Lake County (Clermont), Orange County (Orlando) and Polk County (Davenport). Our favourite activities, attractions and events in these counties include:
Fantasy of Flight – Educational attraction for aviation and history buffs of all ages located in Polk County.
Florida EcoSafaris – Horseback riding and enjoyment of Florida’s outdoor landscape. Zipline for the more adventurous. This is located in St. Cloud which is east of Kissimmee in Osceola County.
Gatorland – Up close and personal encounters with reptiles and birds in a themed habitat setting in south Orlando.
Warbird Adventures – Thrilling hands-on flight of vintage World War II airplanes in the heart of Kissimmee.

The vast majority of vacation rentals are located in either Davenport or Kissimmee which puts some of them in close proximity to these Four Corners attractions.

The Fantasy of Flight museum allows you to be able to see planes up close as well as climb aboard a select historic few. Perhaps the most popular activity for kids is the virtual reality simulators for hang gliding and air ballooning. The attraction also features a live daily aerial demonstration of historic military aircraft. The museum is set in an art deco fashion with a cute dining area which feels like a Casablanca movie. With over 40 aircraft on display, this attraction makes for a perfect day out.
