Windwood Bay Davenport is a vacation home community located in Davenport, Florida with limited community recreational amenities. The subdivision neighborhood is comprised of mostly 3 to 5 bedroom rental homes with the larger homes allowing for a maximum occupancy of 10-12 persons. These larger villas often include such upgrades as gamerooms, hot tubs and movie theaters.
 

Windwood Bay should not be confused with The Reserve at Windwood Bay which is a townhome community behind the Windwood Bay subdivision. The townhome section is gated, but the single family homes are not. As one can see from the embedded video of the community, Windwood Bay homes are 1 and 2 level detached villas.

Windwood Bay Florida is located approximately 6 miles (11km) south of the Walt Disney World Resort® and is approximately a 15 minute drive to some of the major restaurant chains located on the west side of Highway 192. Champions Gate retail and shopping is within a short drive from this community. This retail center includes a Publix grocery store, Walgreens pharmacy and casual dining restaurants. The Champions Gate Resort also encompasses 2 championship golf courses designed by Greg Norman.

Windwood Bay does have a community pool and natural wooded areas adjacent to walking trail around the resort. If in fact you are looking for a private in-home pool during your stay, verify that the house rental has a pool before you make the reservation. Many of  the Windwood Bay Orlando rentals have natural conservation areas adjacent to the lanai decks which makes for a peaceful vacation environment. Once again, if this amenity interests you, request this attribute when booking a reservation.
