Orlando City Soccer Vacation Rentals Full House

The Orlando City major league soccer club played its inaugural game to a packed and enthusiastic crowd. The huge Orlando City soccer attendance was the talk of the city for several days.

The newly minted MLS club will play a total of 17 home games in 2015 at the Citrus Bowl in downtown Orlando. These 2015 games will mostly be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. The season will end with games in late October, and the MLS playoffs thereafter. The Citrus Bowl stadium is within 30-40 minutes of most Kissimmee and Davenport short term rental neighborhoods.

The Citrus Bowl plans to expand the lower bowl capacity to 23,000 for the remainder of the 2015 season to provide a great game day experience. However, several media sources that a maximum cap of around 23,000 will be placed on the remainder of the 2015 home Orlando City soccer games. This is due in part to limited Citrus Bowl parking and the fact that the new Orlando City soccer stadium to be completed in 2016 will only hold approximately 20,000 people.

The premier player on the Orlando City Lions team is Kaka’. Kaka (Ricardo Izecson dos Santos) was the FIFA player of the year in 2007. This Brazilian star midfielder was on the Brazil World Cup squad and has scored 29 times in 87 game appearances.

The new Orlando City soccer stadium will be located 2 blocks from the Amway Center – home of the Orlando Magic NBA basketball team. The new playing field will be below street level and feature an all natural grass surface. The stadium will also have a canopy style roof structure that will help shield fans from afternoon/evening Central Florida rainstorms.

Development of the stadium in the downtown district makes sense for several reasons. First, there are a lot more pre and post game food and beverage opportunities near the new stadium. This gives local restauranteurs a demand generator at least once every week or two for patronage. Second, getting in and out of this area of downtown Orlando

should be much easier for fans including the Lynx bus station nearby.
