Leonardo da Vinci Exhibit Set for Orlando’s International Drive

If you’ve always wanted to see the Mona Lisa in person, or at least an official replica of the masterpiece, now is your chance at the da Vinci exhibit in Orlando. A reproduction of perhaps the most popular portrait in history will be on display at an exhibit that pays tribute to the many works of Leonardo da Vinci. The grand opening of the exhibit entitled Leonardo da Vinci: Man-Inventor-Artist-Genius , which has been on display throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, is now scheduled for Saturday, April 18 on 7220 International Drive in Orlando.

Although da Vinci is probably best known for painting the Mona Lisa, as well as The Last Supper, his talents and ambitions spread far beyond that of being an artist. Accordingly, the exhibit will not only feature 23 replications of his most famous art pieces, but it will also feature the music he composed, as well as house 40 models of his most innovative and thought provoking inventions.
Da Vinci’s music to be showcased at the event has been professionally recreated by professors at the University of Music and Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria, allowing visitors to listen and enjoy via the latest in digital technology for the da Vinci exhibit in Orlando.

Perhaps the most intriguing part of the Orlando da Vinci exhibit though is dedicated to da Vinci’s inventions. So much so that they are divided into four major themes: Flight, Hydraulics, Mechanics, and War Machines. The inventions will be represented by means of interactive scale models that have been carefully constructed with the utmost attention to detail in respect to the original invention. Da Vinci’s “machines” that were derived over 500 years ago are thought by many to have been the predecessors or models of many modern day creations that are still utilized today.

Da Vinci is undoubtedly one of the most progressive thinkers and brilliant innovators of all time, which makes this exhibit a “must see” when it opens its doors in Orlando!

The da Vinci exhibit Orlando hours are scheduled to be: 10 am – 9 pm Monday thru Saturday and 10 am – 8 pm on Sunday.

Food for the grand opening event on April 18, which is open to the public, will be provided by Tin Roof. In addition, the event will launch a month long food drive that will benefit Second Harvest. Painting classes will also be offered by Wine and Canvas. A special appearance by Mark Brisson from Skeletons: Animals Unveiled is also slated.

Da Vinci ticket prices are $16.99 for adults, $9.99 for children ages 6-12, and for a limited time children 5 years or younger will be admitted free with a paying adult. Combination packages for the da Vinci exhibit and CSI: The Experience exhibit are also available. Prices are subject to change.
