The weekend of May 31st to June 2nd in Kissimmee will be the date of the inaugural 2013 Kissimmee Blue Skies Balloon Festival. The festival will also showcase the Silver Spurs Rodeo at Osceola Heritage Park plus a songwriter’s festival and adventure race.

Kissimmee Blue Skies and Silver Spurs Festival

The Kissimmee Convention and Visitors Bureau bills this festival as 4 events in one. At different times during the weekend (May 31-June 2) the various events will include:

• Enjoy the Silver Spurs Rodeo at Kissimmee’s Osceola Park on Friday and Saturday night from 7:30 to 10:30 pm
• Take part in the Endless Summer Songwriter’s Festival at Osceola Heritage Park from 4:30 to 7:00 pm on Friday night and from Noon to 7:00 pm on Saturday afternoon/evening. Songwriters will sing their favorite country songs on the park main stage.
• The Kissimmee Blue Skies balloon festival launch will take place in the Formosa Gardens area on Saturday and Sunday morning at 7:00 am. The Blue Skies balloon launch location address will be 7836 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee. Tickets for participating in the hot air balloon launch are $185 and can be reserved at www.kissimmeeblueskiesfestival.com.
• There will also be a 5 mile Blue Skies Adventure Race on Saturday at 7:00 am. There will be 8 special obstacles for this adventure race.
