The Orlando July 4th events week is already upon us, and if you’re like many, the big “what to do” question is already looming, especially if you may be vacationing in Orlando for the first time. The Orlando July 4th events are a special occasion to enjoy.

Rest assured Mickey will be launching a rocket or two over at the castle, but if Disney isn’t on your itinerary you’re probably curious about what else there will be to do in Central Florida. No need to worry. Orlando has plenty of July 4th events planned for you to choose from!

If you’re the type of person who enjoys traveling on holidays but also hates to miss out on the family traditions you’re used to back home, then this first recommendation maybe just for you. Fireworks at the Fountain in Lake Eola Park will take place on Wednesday, July 4th starting at 4:00 p.m. The event will feature live patriotic music, entertainment, activities for the kiddos, and of course a fireworks display!

Best of all, admission is free, and there will be food and drinks available there for purchase. If you’re not familiar with the area and wish to GPS it, Lake Eola Park. The park is located on 512 East Washington Street near downtown Orlando. So get your blankets or lawn chairs ready and head over to the park to celebrate one of the top Orlando July 4th events!

4th July Orlando Eye

Another popular destination this 4th of July holiday will surely be the Orlando Eye. Officially known as ICON Orlando 360, or as some refer to it as the giant Ferris wheel. This 4th of July holiday the Eye will be illuminated in red, white, and blue for all to see. If you wish to ride the Eye, it’s recommended to do so during the daytime to enjoy the best views. If you return during the evening, you can view the patriotic light display. ICON Orlando 360 is located on 8375 International Drive.

General admission tickets to ride the Eye start at $26.00 with 10% discounts available online at https://iconorlando.com/buy-tickets/.
There’s also a “champagne experience” available to really enjoy the view from 400 feet! There’s plenty of other attractions for the family to walk and take in along International Drive. In this case, you won’t have to worry about additional driving more for the Orlando July 4th events.

4th July at Cranes Roost Park

A third option would be to take about a 10-mile drive north up Interstate 4 from Orlando to the city of Altamonte Springs. The reason we’re suggesting this one is because of their 27th annual Red Hot and Boom festival. This event is considered by many to be among the best celebrations around! When you take into account the beautiful setting around Cranes Roost Park and all of the activities scheduled, you can certainly see why.

There are local food vendors surrounding the lake throughout the venue. There’s also a complete lineup of musical artists set to perform. This year’s artist list includes: Jack & Jack, In Real Life, Lauv, Echosmith, Alyssa Raghu, Logan Henderson, and MAX.

In addition to the sound system on the “floating stage” there will be over 200 speakers placed thru-out the park, along with 3 huge video screens, to broadcast the concert for all to enjoy. The event will culminate with what is billed as “one of the best fireworks displays in the South.” The fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m. (weather permitting). The show is set to be choreographed to music simulcast by XL 106.7 FM, one of the primary event sponsors.

What’s really great about this festival is it takes place on Tuesday, July 3rd from 4 to 11:00 p.m. So you’re free to enjoy all of the 4th of July events in Orlando as well! The event will take place rain or shine and is admission is free! For directions, traffic, and parking info, visit the festival’s official website at https://www.altamonte.org/701/Red-Hot-Boom. Whichever events you choose, just get your family and friends out there and enjoy it!
Have Fun and Enjoy the 4th!
